(Schwartz, Kierulf)
Album: I’m Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman – Single / Britney (Deluxe/International Editions)
This haunting ballad is a highlight bonus track on Britney that was worthy of being included on the standard editions. Vocally impressive, it’s also a more mature song than “I’m Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman” and “That’s Where You Take Me.” Schwartz and Kierulf seems to have drawn inspiration from Madonna’s Ray of Light for this song. Production-wise, it strikes the right balance between digital and ethereal. The interplay between the violin and Spears’s voice in the second verse is magical. Despite receiving high marks from Britney fans, it was relegated to the B-side of the “I’m Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman” single and an album bonus track in select markets.
