136. Don’t Keep Me Waiting (2011)

(Jerkins, Shiloh, Lumpkins)

Album: Femme Fatale (Deluxe/International Editions)

Britney does power pop in this rock-infused Femme Fatale bonus track. It’s not the first time Spears delved into the genre, but unfortunately here it doesn’t amount to a standout track. Spears herself sounds up to the moment, providing the appropriate sass for what frames itself as an arena rocker. For a song that hits this hard, it’s unfortunate that the song structure itself lulls the listener with its monotony.
