If Britney starred in her own television show (I’m thinking scripted TV, not Chaotic), then “Brave New Girl” would have been a great theme song, backing an animated opening sequence à la the Nanny. It’s a fun if overproduced track that Spears wrote with Brian Kierulf, Josh Schwartz, and Kara DioGuardi. Britney’s most bubbly track since “Anticipating,” there is something discordant about the sassy speak-sing verses and the girlish and exuberant chorus. Even if it’s not an album standout, it might at least put a smile on your face.
