(Lady Gaga, Garibay)
Album: Circus (Deluxe/International Editions)
Before hitting it big on her own, Lady Gaga penned several tracks for Britney Spears, and Spears lent her vocals to at least two that we know of. The first was “Telephone,” which did not ultimately make the cut for Blackout and Lady Gaga would famously turn it into a duet with Beyonce. The second track received an official (albeit limited) release as a European bonus track. “Quicksand” is exactly the type of electropop song that would have fit in great on Lady Gaga’s debut The Fame. Britney’s vocals sound great throughout, though this one gets a bit repetitive. Ultimately not a standout among Spears’s discography, one wouldn’t blame Gaga if she were saving her best compositions for her own releases.
